About Florida State Board of Administration

The Florida State Board of Administration (SBA) is the state’s principal independent investment management organization, created by the Florida Constitution. It is primarily responsible for investing the Florida Retirement System Pension Plan proceeds, administering the Florida Retirement System Investment Plan, managing the Florida Hurricane Catastrophe Fund, and operating Florida PRIME, along with proceeds from more than 25 additional funds directed by the Florida Legislature. The SBA oversees investment policies and governance through a board of trustees and executive leadership. It serves the state of Florida with a focus on pension fund management and public investments across multiple state funds.
