Automating community support and technical troubleshooting can drastically lower operational strain on network teams, speed user onboarding, and enable more scalable, data-driven interactions with on-chain systems. If adopted, the agent could materially improve UX across Polkadot projects and accelerate developer and user growth.
OnFinality unveiled a private-beta AI agent designed to provide 24/7 intelligent support for the Polkadot ecosystem, combining website/docs crawling, SubQuery GraphQL data, and a RAG (retrieval-augmented generation) pipeline to answer both common community questions and specific technical issues like node setup or missing staking rewards. The agent can ingest live data, summarize documentation, and use tools to fetch dynamic on-chain metrics or perform actions, demonstrated in a live hookup to SubQuery projects. OnFinality positioned the product as a way to reduce repeated questions in Discord/Telegram and to improve onboarding for new Web3 users, while inviting builders to create more Polkadot MCPs. The offering is aimed at hackathon participants and is available by request during private beta.
