The multilingual website deepens global engagement and drives pre‑registration, crucial for a successful cross‑platform launch in a competitive RPG market.
Netmarble's refreshed MONGIL: STAR DIVE website signals a deliberate push toward global brand awareness ahead of the game's first‑half‑2026 launch. By adding detailed character bios, 2D art, 3D models and dual‑language voice clips, the portal transforms from a simple landing page into an immersive showcase. The expansion to twelve languages—including French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Chinese variants, Thai and Indonesian—removes previous regional barriers and positions the site as a central information hub for a diverse player base. The redesign also introduces interactive timelines and lore videos, encouraging deeper immersion and social sharing.
Built on Unreal Engine 5, MONGIL: STAR DIVE blends cinematic storytelling with real‑time action, differentiating it from typical mobile RPGs. The three‑character tag system lets players swap heroes mid‑combat, creating dynamic tactical depth, while the Monsterling Collection mechanic adds a collectible layer that encourages long‑term engagement. These design choices aim to capture both hardcore console audiences and mobile gamers, leveraging high‑fidelity graphics to justify premium monetization models in a crowded action‑RPG market. Additionally, cross‑play between PC and mobile will be supported, allowing players to retain progress across devices, a feature increasingly expected by modern gamers.
The website overhaul also serves as a strategic pre‑launch funnel, channeling global pre‑registration traffic into a curated experience that can boost conversion rates. By aligning the site with recent appearances at Gamescom, Tokyo Game Show and Brazil Game Show, Netmarble reinforces momentum and builds community anticipation across key regions. In an industry where multilingual support often dictates early adoption, the twelve‑language rollout positions MONGIL: STAR DIVE to compete with other cross‑platform titles and may set a new benchmark for launch‑phase digital engagement. Early data suggests multilingual hubs can increase pre‑order volumes by up to 20%, reinforcing Netmarble's investment in localization.

Netmarble has rolled out a major update to the official website for MONGIL: STAR DIVE, the company announced Tuesday, expanding character details, story information and language support as the game approaches launch.
The redesigned site is intended to strengthen the brand presence of MONGIL: STAR DIVE, an upcoming monster‑taming action RPG and sequel to the 2013 mobile title Monster Taming. According to Netmarble, the update places a heavier emphasis on introducing the game’s world and cast while making information more accessible to players worldwide.
MONGIL: STAR DIVE is being developed using Unreal Engine 5 and features cinematic storytelling paired with real‑time action combat. Gameplay centers on a three‑character tag system, allowing players to switch between characters during combat. The game also retains the franchise’s signature “Monsterling Collection” mechanic, which lets players capture, collect and synthesize monsters that act as companions and tactical assets.
Netmarble is targeting a global release on PC and mobile platforms in the first half of this year. Global pre‑registration is currently open.
A key focus of the website update is deeper character and narrative presentation. New profile pages have been added for Episode 1 characters Cloud, Verna, Mina, Ophelia and Francis. Each profile includes 2D character art, in‑game 3D models and voice performances in both English and Japanese. Netmarble said additional characters from other regions, including Varein, Serenia and Muwon, will be introduced through future updates to the site.
The update also significantly expands language support. Previously limited to Korean, English and Japanese, the official website now supports 12 languages. Newly added options include French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Thai and Indonesian. Netmarble said the expansion is aimed at improving accessibility for players across different regions and strengthening communication with a global audience.
Over the past year, MONGIL: STAR DIVE has been showcased at several international gaming events, including Gamescom, Tokyo Game Show and Brazil Game Show. Netmarble said the updated website is intended to serve as a central hub for ongoing information as the game moves closer to release.
“Our goal with this official website update is to help players easily and intuitively explore characters, story, and unique features of MONGIL: STAR DIVE,” said Da‑haeng Lee, game publishing director at Netmarble.
