The drop leverages the recent Grammy win for the K‑pop track “Golden,” boosting Fortnite’s cultural relevance and driving microtransaction revenue. It also deepens Epic’s partnership with the Korean music market, attracting a broader global player base.
Fortnite’s collaboration model has evolved from seasonal events to high‑profile cross‑media partnerships, turning the game into a cultural hub where music, film, and gaming intersect. By integrating K‑pop icons, Epic taps into a fanbase that values both visual flair and musical affiliation, mirroring the success of previous collaborations with artists like Travis Scott and Ariana Grande. This strategy not only sustains player engagement but also creates recurring revenue streams through limited‑time cosmetic bundles that encourage impulse purchases.
The timing of the K‑pop Demon Hunters Wave 2 launch is strategic: the track “Golden” recently secured a Grammy, marking the first K‑pop song to achieve that milestone. Epic’s decision to align the skin drop with this accolade amplifies hype, as fans anticipate exclusive in‑game representations of a historic moment. Such synergy drives social media buzz, increases live‑stream viewership, and translates into higher spend on skins, emotes, and related accessories, reinforcing Fortnite’s position as a monetization powerhouse within the live‑service genre.
Regional rollout details reveal Epic’s nuanced approach to global markets. By staggering release times—North America on February 6, Europe and Asia on February 7—the company maximizes peak activity windows and accommodates time‑zone‑specific purchasing behavior. This staggered schedule also allows for localized marketing pushes, ensuring that each market receives tailored promotional content. Analysts expect the Wave 2 bundle to generate a notable uplift in microtransaction revenue, setting a benchmark for future music‑driven collaborations and solidifying Fortnite’s role as a bridge between gaming and mainstream entertainment.

Fortnite is releasing new Kpop Demon Hunters skins on February 6th. This second wave of skins will include Jinu from the Saja Boys, alongside a handful of additional rumoured cosmetics.
From confirmed Kpop Demon Hunters skins to rumoured cosmetics, here’s all you need to know ahead of the new drop:
Epic Games confirmed its new wave of Kpop Demon Hunters skins in a trailer posted on February 4th. This trailer finally gave players their first look at the Jinu skin, which has been long‑rumoured and hotly anticipated.
— Fortnite (@Fortnite) [February 4, 2026]
Both his human and demon appearances are shown in the trailer, suggesting that players will be able to select either edit once the skin is purchased.
The trailer also shows the Huntrx trio wearing new outfits. This likely confirms that Rumi, Mira, and Zoe will receive new skins. At the very least, the Golden skins will be available as edits to their existing Fortnite skins that were released in October 2025.

These are the outfits that the Huntrix wear during the iconic “Golden” music video and in the movie.
With the track “Golden” becoming the first K‑pop song to win a Grammy award mere days before the trailer drop, Epic Games will certainly be riding the wave of that success.

Cosmetics confirmed in the trailer
Zoe Golden Skin (as either a new standalone skin or an edit option to the existing skin)
Mira Golden Skin (as either a new standalone skin or an edit option to the existing skin)
