The refresh levels the competitive field and expands the player base by lowering entry barriers, while new heroes and monetization options drive long‑term engagement and revenue growth.

Key Takeaways

  • •Season 2 launches with fresh leaderboards and reset.
  • •Two new heroes, Aeona and Xavian, added.
  • •Woodland Glade offers low‑pressure solo/group practice mode.
  • •League structure streamlined; Pathfinder’s Guidance aids dungeon learning.
  • •First in‑game store and raptor mount introduced.

Pulse Analysis

The launch of Season 2 marks Fellowship’s first full‑cycle reset since its Early Access debut, wiping existing leaderboards and giving every player a clean slate. This approach is a proven tactic in live‑service games to reignite competition, boost churn resistance, and generate a surge of activity around the season launch window. By synchronizing the reset with a suite of quality‑of‑life upgrades, the developers aim to capture both returning veterans and newcomers, reinforcing the title’s position in the crowded dungeon‑run market.

Aeona and Xavian expand the hero roster with distinct hybrid roles that reshape team composition. Aeona’s time‑delay mechanic effectively turns incoming damage into a visible buffer, allowing allies to pre‑emptively heal or reposition, while her damage‑based healing blurs the line between support and DPS. Xavian complements her by providing tank resilience and a limited healing pool, creating a synergy that rewards coordinated play. These designs signal a shift toward more interactive, decision‑driven encounters, encouraging players to experiment with new meta strategies.

The new Woodland Glade mode lowers the barrier to entry by stripping away timers and boss mechanics, offering a sandbox where players can test abilities and earn talent points at their own pace. Coupled with the revamped league system and Pathfinder’s Guidance Ascension, the update streams the onboarding funnel and reduces the learning curve for first‑time entrants. The introduction of an in‑game store and a prestige raptor mount adds a monetization layer that aligns with industry standards, suggesting a roadmap toward sustainable revenue while keeping core gameplay free‑to‑play.

Season 2 is Live in Fellowship, the MODA Adds New Heroes, New Mode, Seasonal Fresh Start, and Improvements

Season 2 is here for Fellowship, and the new season for Chief Rebel’s dungeon‑run‑centered MODA means the first seasonal reset of Early Access. The game’s biggest update yet adds two new heroes, a new, more low‑key way to play solo or in a group, an overhauled league structure, and the first edition of the in‑game store.

Things are changing, and the seasonal reset signals change, but also a clean start with fresh leaderboards and everyone on an even playing field to start the new season. The team added a new mount—a raptor—that you can acquire if you reach a 10 k dungeon rating.

New heroes are here, and these are the final versions of concepts the team revealed just a couple of months ago to close out 2025.

  • Aeona – a healer whose key mechanic is that she manipulates time. When she’s in your group she will delay 50 % of incoming damage so you have more chances to react before it hits. She can even cleanse delayed damage, essentially healing her allies before they even take the damage that was coming their way. The whole group can actually see how much damage was delayed and see if it’s more than their remaining health to prioritize healing and who needs tending to. She is a healer and support, but feels more like a hybrid because a lot of her healing comes by doing damage.

  • Xavian – a paladin who uses a sword, acting as a hybrid support/tank. Even while tanking damage, he can draw from a limited pool of healing abilities. Paired with Aeona, while she deflects damage, he can look at the incoming numbers and prioritize healing.

If you’ve ever wanted to play, practice, or improve a little bit without the time pressure and the stakes of a dungeon, welcome to Woodland Glade. This new space lets you play solo, with friends, or with anyone you can find, and learn a hero’s abilities through practical use without any pressure of a dungeon. You can drop in and drop out; there are no timers, no boss fight—just an instant mode that gives you a lot of freedom.

Woodland Grove can also serve as a waiting area while you’re waiting for a queue to pop, because not only can you just chill out here with others, you can unlock talents and abilities.

In Season 2, there are a number of changes to league structure based on player feedback in Season 1. Overall, the effect is streamlining the player journey and providing a less overwhelming onboarding experience. A new feature, Pathfinder’s Guidance Ascension, will offer suggestions and highlighted packs to pull as you go through a dungeon. This is intended to teach you the core gameplay loop and help you learn the ropes better.

The patch notes have full details on this update, and the team is also hinting at some of what they are looking to add later in this season.
