Why It Matters

By centering implementers’ on-the-ground knowledge and creating a sustained peer network, the initiative aims to speed wider adoption of effective HIV interventions and improve program delivery across diverse settings. This could shorten the gap between research and practice, increasing reach and impact of HIV prevention and care efforts.

Summary

Yale’s R3EDI Ready Hub launched an NIH-funded Community Research Partners community of practice to accelerate implementation of evidence-based HIV prevention and treatment. The program will convene 12–15 implementing partners in monthly one-hour virtual sessions over a nine-month cohort—part of a broader multi-year effort—facilitated by experienced community leaders and supported by Ready Hub technical resources. Meetings are designed as structured peer-learning spaces that treat lived experience as expertise, prioritize real-time implementation challenges, and use an application rubric to select participants. The Hub aims to connect frontline implementers nationwide to share practical solutions and adaptations that scale proven interventions faster.
