Why It Matters

Those approvals clear critical tribal and federal hurdles and let Quantum move into field testing, advancing commercial validation of its helium prospects and potentially accelerating production timelines and company valuation.

Summary

Quantum Helium said the Bureau of Indian Affairs has approved its assignments and an IMGA for the Kotti Wash and Sagebrush projects, marking a key regulatory milestone. The company now needs to register as an operator with Colorado Energy and Carbon Management and the Office of Natural Resources Revenue, a largely administrative step. Once registrations are complete it will file a sundry notice with Colorado authorities and the tribe and begin mobilizing equipment. Quantum expects to start an extended production test within weeks.

Original Description

The Bureau of Indian Affairs has granted Quantum Helium its assignment for the Sagebrush property, a crucial precondition for operating on the ground. A similar assignment was granted for the nearby Coyote Wash project a little while ago. The granting of the assignment means Quantum can now get serious about its testing plans on its Colorado helium ground, and really get down to work. Quantum Helium's chief executive Howard McLaughlin joins us to tell us what happens next.
