The funding gives Sparrow the resources to scale a novel cardiac AI platform, potentially reshaping cardiac diagnostics and capturing market share in digital health. It also signals strong confidence in Canadian AI health startups, likely spurring further investment in the sector.
Sparrow BioAcoustics, a St. John’s-based cardiac AI platform developer, closed a $10M financing round led by Killick Capital and Klister Credit with participation from Pelorus VC, 98827 Newfoundland & Labrador Inc., and Brinex Capital. The company will use the proceeds to expand operations and advance development efforts.
