
Uzbekistan’s homegrown unicorn Uzum announced a $65.5 million equity funding round co‑led by Tencent and VR Capital, with participation from FinSight Ventures, lifting its post‑money valuation to about $1.5 billion. The Tashkent‑based e‑commerce and fintech platform now serves 17 million monthly active users and plans to expand its services across the region. The round brings total equity raised to $137 million.
