What separates the partners who thrive in the AI era from those who fall behind? Second year at IBM Think and that question felt like the throughline of everything today. Kareem Yusuf, SVP of Ecosystem & Strategic Partners at IBM opened with a conviction: a vibrant ecosystem goes beyond technology and extends to aligned partners working toward a common goal with extend reach, scale revenue, deliver differentiated value to clients. Three things I'm still thinking about: 1️⃣ Automation that moves the needle. Reyna Thompson of TD SYNNEX shared that 80% of IBM renewals are now touchless after building on IBM's integration API. That's a different operating model. 2️⃣ Agentic AI is moving from concept to production. The IBM agent catalog, IBM Bob, and purpose-built building blocks are giving partners a concrete path to embed AI into solutions. Nexar Inc. ’s catalog went from concept to catalog in 4 months. Zach Greenberger, CEO of Nexar Inc. underscored the importance of speed to market. 3️⃣ IBM CEO Arvind Krishna 's point on the 'long tail' opportunity resonated. The path to tens of thousands of new clients runs squarely through the partner ecosystem. That's a meaningful signal about where IBM's attention and investment is heading.
