Because MCP opens AI models to any data source, trust and safety become paramount. The protocol provides guidance for handling sensitive domains—such as healthcare—by enforcing single‑source guarantees and encouraging marketplace curation. Open‑source contributions, from SDKs to server registries, foster a vibrant ecosystem where multiple MCP servers can coexist, offering redundancy and innovation. As AI integration matures, MCP aims to evolve with stricter data‑trust classifications and tighter safety checks, positioning itself as the foundational protocol for secure, scalable AI‑augmented applications.
