Original Description

Day 14/42: Zero-Shot vs Few-Shot Learning
Yesterday, we talked about context windows.
Today, we use that space more intelligently.
Zero-shot means: give an instruction, no examples.
You trust the model to figure it out.
Few-shot means: show a few examples of what you want.
The model copies the pattern.
Few-shot doesn’t add knowledge.
It reduces ambiguity.
That’s why formatting, style, and structure suddenly improve.
Missed Day 13? That context matters.
Tomorrow, we tackle reasoning and chain-of-thought.
I’m Louis-François, PhD dropout, now CTO & co-founder at Towards AI. Follow me for tomorrow’s no-BS AI roundup 🚀
