The American Law Institute (ALI) advances the study, clarification, and reform of the law through publications, projects, and scholarly activities. It develops Restatements of the Law, Style Manual, and other legal resources, supporting legal professionals, librarians, and scholars with authoritative guidance and research. The Institute hosts meetings, publishes reports and newsletters, and provides continuing legal education (CLE) programs, primarily based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Washington, DC, with a global reach through its publications and events.
