About Arete Education

Arete Education is a nonprofit organization in New York City that trains and empowers youth through afterschool, summer programming, and wraparound services. Working with public NYCDOE schools, colleges, universities, and industry partners, it focuses on education, financial literacy, STEM, the arts, and health to close the experience gap and prepare students for college, careers, and healthy mindsets. The organization serves communities in the South Bronx, Brooklyn, and Washington Heights, impacting approximately 1500 students and families annually with extended learning and career-connected experiences.
