The European Payments Council (EPC) is an international non-profit association focused on harmonising electronic payments within the SEPA framework. It manages and evolves payment schemes such as SEPA Credit Transfer, SEPA Instant Credit Transfer, SEPA Direct Debit, and related governance forums to support European payment scalability and interoperability. Headquartered in Brussels, the EPC engages with scheme participants and stakeholders to promote secure, efficient, and standardized payment methods across Europe.
