Investigative Reporters and Editors is a grassroots nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of investigative reporting. Through its Resource Center, conferences, and specialized training, IRE supports journalists worldwide with storytelling ideas, data gathering techniques, and access to reporting tipsheets and materials. The organization oversees programs like NICAR in collaboration with the Missouri School of Journalism, and hosts events that enhance reporting skills across the globe.
