It operates as part of a national network anchored in Detroit, with facilities like the Detroit High Bay and AMPP Center, to showcase and pilot smarter manufacturing and material innovations. LIFT collaborates with industry, academia, and government, including DoD and Manufacturing USA, to move technologies from concept to production and to educate the workforce through programs like IGNITE: Mastering Manufacturing and the Learning Lab.
