About Prometheus

Prometheus is a digital collection and storytelling platform focused on epigraphy, bringing together ancient Greek and Latin inscriptions, monuments, and related cultural heritage from the Balkans. It enables exploration through interactive maps, audio, and visualizations, connecting scholars, educators, and the public with inscriptions from North Macedonia, Serbia, and Bulgaria. The project promotes universal human values by digitising epigraphic monuments and providing open access resources for teaching, research, and outreach across Europe.
