Scala
About Scala
Scala is a general-purpose programming language that combines functional and object-oriented paradigms. It scales from small scripts to large, multicore, distributed applications and compiles to the JVM, JavaScript, and native binaries for cross-platform deployment. The language emphasizes strong typing, concise syntax, and a rich ecosystem of libraries for data processing, concurrency, and web services. It is developed and maintained with active community and institutional support from EPFL and the Scala Center, based in Lausanne, Switzerland.
