The FAA has closed airspace over El Paso and parts of southern New Mexico for 10 days under a “national defense” designation. No public explanation. We know there have been recent discussions about using military force against cartels in Mexico and expanding wartime authorities at the border. During Trump 1.0, I witnessed similar internal discussions. El Paso is my hometown. The public deserves answers.
