The album reinforces Antonoff’s dual role as front‑man and sought‑after producer, shaping pop trends while expanding Bleachers’ commercial lifespan.
Bleachers’ upcoming record, Everyone for Ten Minutes, arrives at a moment when indie‑pop acts are leveraging nostalgia and streaming algorithms to capture new listeners. By partnering with Dirty Hit, the band secures a label known for nurturing genre‑blending projects, positioning the album for both physical sales and playlist placement. The timing—early May—targets the summer listening window, a strategic move that could boost chart performance and festival bookings, extending the group’s relevance beyond its established fan base.
The lead single “You and Forever” sets the tone with a glossy production that balances melancholy lyricism and bright synth hooks. Its accompanying video, directed by Alex Lockett, pairs cinematic rain‑soaked cityscapes with Margaret Qualley’s kinetic choreography, creating a visual narrative that amplifies the song’s themes of persistence and yearning. This multi‑medium rollout exemplifies modern music marketing, where visual storytelling drives engagement on platforms like TikTok and YouTube, translating into higher streaming numbers and social buzz.
Jack Antonoff’s reputation as a cross‑genre architect amplifies the album’s industry impact. Recent collaborations with Kendrick Lamar, Sabrina Carpenter, and Paramore showcase his ability to infuse mainstream pop with alternative sensibilities, a skill that now informs Bleachers’ own sound. As record labels chase producers who can deliver chart‑ready hits while preserving artistic integrity, Antonoff’s dual success as a front‑man and behind‑the‑mix talent underscores a broader shift toward producer‑driven branding in the music business. Expect strong streaming debut metrics and potential Grammy consideration, reinforcing Bleachers’ position in the evolving pop landscape.

Bleachers are back with another new album. The band’s fifth studio LP, Everyone for Ten Minutes, is out May 22 via Dirty Hit. Their lead single, “You and Forever,” is out now along with an Alex Lockett‑directed music video starring Margaret Qualley and Jack Antonoff. In the clip, the Bleachers singer paces around the city while taking punches and crawling in the rain, while Qualley dances across her apartment and plays with a tiny dog.
Although Everyone for Ten Minutes has its moments of darkness, a press release largely describes the album as being “an optimistic record that feels lovestruck and hopeful.” It arrives over a decade into Bleachers’ career and two years after they dropped their most recent self‑titled LP.
Since releasing Bleachers, Antonoff has been as busy as ever — especially as a producer. He co‑wrote and co‑produced the majority of Sabrina Carpenter’s albums Short n’ Sweet and Man’s Best Friend, and hopped behind the board to work on songs by Kendrick Lamar (“6:16 in LA”), Gracie Abrams (“Us”), and Paramore (a remix of “Sanity”). Antonoff also co‑wrote and produced 11 of the 12 songs that made up Lamar’s Grammy‑winning album GNX.
