About Africa Go Green Fund

Africa Go Green Fund (AGG) is a pan-African fund initiated by KfW on behalf of the German government to promote private investments that reduce greenhouse gas emissions, with a focus on energy efficiency and renewable energy across Africa. The fund finances private sector entities and partner institutions using senior debt, mezzanine financing, and guarantees, supported by a Technical Assistance Facility to foster learning and sustainability in the EE/RE market. AGG is managed by Cygnum Capital Group, with the AIFM domiciled in the Netherlands and portfolio management based in the UK. The fund’s investor base includes development partners and governmental entities, backing projects that span green transport, green housing, industrial energy efficiency, and solar and other renewable energy solutions across the continent.
