Backbone Angels is a collective of women in tech who invest their own capital in startups backed by women founders, aiming to fund and empower overlooked founders and ideas. Since its launch in 2021, the group has backed dozens of companies and deployed millions in capital, offering the expertise of a full collective to founders who gain access to its network. Members leverage their experience as former tech leaders and founders to support portfolio companies as they scale. The group emphasizes changing the funding landscape by providing more equitable access to resources for women-led teams.
