Vinyl: Dan Fogelberg, Souvenirs
Dan Fogelberg’s 1974 sophomore album Souvenirs, discovered at a church rummage sale, showcases a blend of folk, country and bluegrass under the “easy‑rock” banner. The record was produced by Joe Walsh and features vocal contributions from Eagles members Don Henley and Glenn Frey as well as Graham Nash. Its lead single “Part of the Plan” earned substantial radio play and helped launch Fogelberg’s national touring partnership with the Eagles. The album set the stage for four more releases in the next five years, cementing his place in 1970s soft‑rock history.
