Claudia Winkleman Addresses Rumour 'Strictly Scandals' Were Reason for Leaving Show

Claudia Winkleman has refuted rumours that backstage scandals prompted her departure from Strictly Come Dancing, confirming the decision was made well before the October announcement. She and co‑host Tess Daly left after more than a decade, having planned the exit a year in advance. The BBC’s dance programme has recently been tarnished by serious criminal allegations involving former contestants. Winkleman will return to television with her own talk show, The Claudia Winkleman Show, premiering on 13 March on BBC One.
