On 15 April 2026 ETSI issued a formal position paper responding to the European Commission’s proposal for the Cybersecurity Act 2. The standards body endorses a risk‑based, tiered certification framework, calls for transparent governance and stakeholder input, and stresses the need for interoperable certificates across EU member states.
