Sikorsky and Robinson Unmanned Secure U.S. Marine Corps Contract for Autonomous Aerial Logistics Program
The U.S. Marine Corps awarded Sikorsky, a Lockheed Martin unit, a $15.5 million contract for the Medium Aerial Resupply Vehicle‑Expeditionary Logistics (MARV‑EL) Increment 2 program. The award‑selected solution is the R66 TURBINETRUCK, an autonomous cargo helicopter that merges Sikorsky’s MATRIX™ autonomy suite with Robinson’s rugged R66 airframe. It will deliver 1,300‑2,500 lb of supplies up to 100 nautical miles, keeping personnel out of high‑risk environments.
