Telin and IPification Turn Mobile Networks Into Identity Infrastructure With OTP-Free Verification Service

PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia International (Telin) and IPification have introduced Telin Mobile Network Verification, an OTP‑free identity verification service that leverages network‑layer signals to confirm a user’s phone number, SIM card, and device. The solution, now available on more than 40 mobile operators, replaces SMS codes with a background verification triggered by a user consent tap and supports GSMA’s TS.43 standard for Wi‑Fi Android users. By moving the trust anchor to the carrier network, the service mitigates SIM‑swap, phishing, and SS7 risks while opening a new API‑based revenue model for operators. The commercial rollout begins with Telkomsel in Indonesia.
