Loch Lomond Whiskies has launched two limited‑edition single malts to celebrate the 154th Open Championship at Royal Birkdale, continuing its ninth‑year partnership with the tournament. The flagship Open Course Collection, finished in Tawny Port casks, is capped at 3,000 bottles and priced at £195 (≈$250). A second expression, the Open Special Edition, is Malbec‑finished in collaboration with golfer Colin Montgomerie. Both whiskies showcase the distillery’s straight‑neck stills and on‑site cooperage, delivering fruit‑forward, honeyed profiles with subtle smoke.
