PM Modi Inaugurates Noida International Airport, Boosting North India’s Multi-Modal Connectivity
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Noida International Airport at Jewar, a greenfield project costing about ₹11,200 crore. Phase 1 will handle 12 million passengers annually with a 3,900‑metre runway and 24/7 operations. The airport is positioned as a multi‑modal hub linked to the Yamuna Expressway, rail corridors and dedicated freight lines, aiming to boost logistics, trade and tourism across Western Uttar Pradesh and North India. The launch also includes plans for an MRO facility to foster domestic aviation services.
