Vermont – Capital Program Summary
Vermont’s State Small Business Credit Initiative (SSBCI) portfolio totals $57.9 million, split among a loan participation program and two equity‑venture capital tracks. The Vermont Economic Development Authority (VEDA) administers the loan program and the equity‑funds vehicle, while the Center on Rural Innovation, Hula and RDF Ventures run the direct‑equity arm. The loan participation can cover up to $6 million for renewable‑energy projects, and the equity programs allocate $12.9 million to VC funds and $16 million to direct startup co‑investments.
