Early Audemars Piguet Single-Button Chronograph Wristwatch Emerges at Christie’s Geneva
Christie’s Geneva will auction an Audemars Piguet “Coussin Tortue” single‑button chronograph on May 11, 2026. The piece, serial 41 849, is one of only three original examples made in the 1930s and has been sympathetically restored by AP. It features a platinum case, two‑tone gold dial and a LeCoultre movement, and carries an estimate of CHF200‑400 k (≈US$260‑510 k). The sale follows a recent Hong Kong auction where a comparable Patek Philippe single‑button chronograph fetched nearly US$2 million.
