This morning was a bit overwhelming – getting ready for the retreat, taking care of stuff at home, trying to do what I can to make it easier for my wife to take care of our sick Oakley this weekend…
So I decided to do what too many of you might seem very obvious – some yoga.
Sometimes before getting started, it’s a bit unbelievable that some breathing is stretching is going to help. And then, after a few minutes of tolerating the discomfort and being okay with the overwhelm of thoughts and stresses, it all starts to die down. Breathing slows down. The body relaxes.
Whatever seems stressful before now has the edge taken off. And I wonder to myself… I should do this more often, lol.
