About NETCO

NETCO is Canada’s National Electrical Trade Council, an alliance of the Canadian Electrical Contractors Association (CECA) and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers in Canada (IBEW Canada). It serves as the pan-Canadian voice for electrical contractors and IBEW locals representing apprentices and journeypersons across the country, and promotes national standards in electrical skills training. The organization advocates on policy issues, develops training standards for new technologies such as electric vehicle infrastructure and photovoltaic solar, and supports blended learning approaches to meet evolving workforce needs. NETCO also sponsors industry training resources and an annual conference to advance excellence in electrical apprenticeship and journeyperson development.
