Navarra 360 | How EIT Food Is Pushing Regenerative Agriculture in Spain
The video introduces Navarra 360, a pilot initiative that aims to scale regenerative agriculture in Spain by focusing on cereal and oilseed rotations such as wheat, barley, oats, rapeseed and sunflower.
Led by EIT Food in partnership with Danone, Alpro, Food Valley and other private actors, the programme provides farmers with bespoke transition road‑maps and introduces impact‑measurement tools for soil health, biodiversity, water use and climate footprints.
Participants describe tangible changes – richer worm populations, deeper root systems and markedly less erosion – while confirming that net farm income remains on par with conventional methods, underscoring the shift from treating symptoms on the plant to nurturing the soil.
By proving that regenerative practices can be economically viable, Navarra 360 is positioned as a template for similar projects across Europe, encouraging broader industry adoption and informing forthcoming EU sustainability regulations.
