US Navy Deprioritizes Strait of Hormuz Amid Conference Silence
Day 2 synopsis from the largest Naval conference in America. Nobody cares about Iran. Practically none of the speakers mentioned it. A few hallway conversations, but not many. This confirms my hypothesis that the US Navy is in no rush to reopen the Strait. I’m not saying they won’t. I’m definitely not saying they’re incapable. I’m saying it’s not a top priority for anyone I met or listened to. I also talked with and listened to officers from allied Navies, including Admirals. Plenty of talk about fixing their own problems. Zero rhetoric about NATO being over, or trust in the US Navy eroding.
