Give Second Chances: Key to Employee Engagement

One of the best tools for employee engagement: second chances. Part of the reason some employees check out is that they’ve been tossed aside after making a mistake. No one has ever let them live it down, and that mistake is like a cloud that follows them around. But as a leader, you have the opportunity to give them another shot. Offer them a new project. Let them lead a training. Show them that you won’t let one issue define them, and they shouldn’t either.
