Snack Cake Truck Fire Destroys Entire Load
If you're looking for a load of Little Debbie snack cakes, I have some bad news "On April 13, 2026, at 12:30 am, AFR was dispatched to the area of Central and Tramway for a reported commercial vehicle fire. Engine 12, Engine 8, and Battalion 2 were assigned to the event. Engine 12 arrived to find the tandems of a semi-trailer on fire, with extension into the van, and stretched a line for fire control. Engine 8 assisted with water supply and overhaul. The trailer appeared to be a full truckload of snack cakes. The driver was able to disconnect the tractor from the trailer prior to AFR’s arrival. The trailer is expected to be salvageable but the snack cakes are not. No smiles will be unwrapped from this load. A mechanical failure is suspected to be the cause of the fire. No injuries were reported."
