The European Investment Fund (EIF) focuses on improving access to finance for small and medium-sized enterprises and infrastructure projects across Europe. As part of the EIB Group, it supports EU policy objectives by providing equity investments and guarantees through financial instruments to unlock markets and mobilise private capital. Its activities aim to strengthen European businesses, innovation, and sustainable growth, spanning start-ups to scale-ups and selected infrastructure initiatives. The EIF operates within the European Union and collaborates with partner banks, investors, and public authorities to broaden funding opportunities for SMEs and related projects.
