Resilience and Vision: A Developers Journey
Why It Matters
Roso’s trajectory—combining international construction experience, institutional-scale delivery at Related, and a shift to independent master-planned development—signals sustained large-scale investment and branded-residential innovation in Miami’s real estate market. His Midtown Park project underscores developer confidence in long-term urban placemaking and capital deployment in South Florida.
Summary
Carlos Roso, an Argentine-born architect with an MIT master’s in real estate development and finance, recounted a globe-spanning career that began with a scholarship-fueled stint in Belgium and a decade of project work across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He joined Related Group in Miami in 2002, rising to president of the condominium division and helping deliver more than 1,600 units and several landmark South Florida projects. In 2020 he founded Roso Development; his debut solo project, the Standard Residences in Midtown Miami, was the brand’s first residential partnership, and he is now advancing Midtown Park, a $2 billion master-planned “neighborhood within a neighborhood.”
