Ørsted has received the first six monopiles for the Hornsea 3 offshore wind project at Teesside, marking the start of on‑site works for what will become the world’s largest offshore wind farm. The steel foundations, supplied by Haizea, weigh about 1,670 tonnes each, are 90 m long and were shipped 960 nautical miles from Bilbao on the vessel CY Interocean II.
