Aramex Selects Softeon Warehouse Management System for Global Deployment
Why It Matters
Deploying Softeon’s WMS accelerates Aramex’s digital transformation, enhancing service speed and capacity at a time when 3PLs face mounting e‑commerce demand and labor shortages. The collaboration also showcases the strategic value of AI‑enabled warehouse automation for the broader supply‑chain ecosystem.

Aramex is a global logistics and transportation services provider, with operations in more than 600 cities across 70 countries. The company wanted to strengthen its ability to serve customers in diverse sectors and optimize complex fulfilment processes. This week, Softeon Inc. said Aramex chose its software to drive efficiency.
“Our partnership with Softeon reinforces Aramex’s dedication to investing in best-in-class technologies that deliver measurable value to our esteemed customers,” stated Francoise Russo, chief technology officer at Aramex.
Founded in 1982, Aramex offers international express, domestic express, freight forwarding, and logistics and supply chain services. The third-party logistics provider (3PL) has over 16,000 employees and is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Partners join Softeon WMS with Aramex network
“Softeon’s speed to market, particularly in the 3PL market, will enable us to bring new sites and clients online faster, creating value in days instead of weeks,” said Russo.
The partners will combine Softeon’s warehouse management system (WMS) capabilities and Aramex’s global network and expertise. They said this will enable them to “drive innovation, improve customer experiences, and shape the future of supply chain operations.”
Aramex said the company‘s WMS will help it meet the growing demands of e-commerce, energy, healthcare, and B2C (business-to-consumer) retail.
“This collaboration reinforces our growth across the Middle East and Africa and showcases the power of our 3PL-focused WMS, featuring advanced billing, labor management, and a warehouse execution system (WES) to deliver measurable results in high-volume operations,” added Jim Hoefflin, CEO of Softeon.
Reston, Va.-based Softeon provides cloud-native WMS, WES, and distributed order-management software. Its customers include Amazon Shipping, Sears Home Services, Sony DADC, and DB Schenker.

Industrial AI firm IFS to acquire Softeon
Last month, IFS AB (Industrial and Financial Systems) said it will acquire Softeon to extend its capabilities into the $8.6 billion WMS market, which is growing 12% annually. The Linköping, Sweden-based provider of industrial AI software said the combination will leverage IFS’s partnerships with leading robotics companies including Boston Dynamics and 1X Technologies to create fully autonomous warehouse environments.
IFS said it will combine robotics and agentic AI capabilities “to unlock significant opportunities for warehouse intelligence.” Softeon will contribute native integrations with voice systems and automation such as humanoids and autonomous mobile robots (AMRs).
These physical AI systems will work alongside IFS Loops Digital Workers to orchestrate workflows, process orders, and manage inventory around the clock, said the company. IFS claimed that it will have a single integrated platform designed for mission-critical industrial operations.
IFS said its goal is to have robotic systems handle physical tasks and capture operational data. That would elevate human workers to higher-value judgment calls and exception management, multiplying total warehouse capacity exactly when labor shortages have reached crisis levels, it asserted.
“The warehouse is the next frontier for industrial AI,” said Mark Moffat, CEO of IFS. “As we work with increasingly complex global manufacturers and asset-intensive enterprises, warehouse operations must become as intelligent and autonomous as the production lines they support. Softeon brings proven warehouse expertise to IFS, and we deliver next-generation AI, robotics orchestration, and deep industrial domain knowledge.”
The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals and is expected to close in the first quarter of 2026.
