Privacy matters: Does the Bitcoin economy on Starknet need privacy? Yes. Here's a real story: StarkWare has hundreds of employees and dozens of suppliers. Many of them are eager to Own their Lives, by putting much of their finances on Starknet rather than in Banks. And so, StarkWare employees are eligible to receive part of their salary as stablecoin on Starknet. As we started implementing this, my CFO comes to me saying there's a big problem here: Other employees, competitors, can use a browser to figure out stuff we prefer keeping private, like how much employees are being paid, so we need to find ways to shield this info. Eventually, we came up with various creative solutions to make these payments, without disclosing sensitive data. But it's quite elaborate. And it shouldn't be. That's why we need Privacy. So, if you're happy having others HODL your Bitcoin for you -- Strategy, ETFs, Binance, Coinbase and all, you may not care about privacy. But you're also not a true Bitcoiner, which means "not you keys, not your coins". If you're a degen playing with a bit of money on perps and all, you may not care. And you may be fine mixing your coins by going in and out of Binance and Coinbase from time to time. But if you believe that the end state is a decentralized Bitcoin Economy, true to Satoshi's goal of "allowing any two parties to transact with no trusted intermediary", and want this to apply to businesses and to your daily activity, then privacy matters.

The SEC discussing privacy and acknowledging its importance -- I’m still very excited about that. Really glad that @zooko, @kkirkbos, and others were there to be a strong voice for Privacy.
What’s the magic of ZK-STARKs? A STARK proof takes a tiny speck of dirt and makes it too big to ignore. Something doesn't add up? You'll see it from the moon. That’s how STARKs guarantee validity.

*not an investment advice, DYOR*, but... Starknet aims to be one of the chains with the most attractive conditions for borrowing USDC with BTC. I think it's succeeding. https://t.co/f375omJmsd
ZK-tech is Privacy-tech. Here's what I told @NathanOnCrypto about the SEC's discussions on Privacy. https://t.co/BRnZ7Jkyse

Yesterday I visited Solana breakpoint for first time. Here’s my takeaway: Solana devs love Starknet (and Zcash), want to deploy, learn, work with us. I felt way more at home there than at Ethereum conferences. And the fact that Cairo is ZK-Rust is...

Starknet continues to be ranked 2nd in monthly net flows. https://t.co/qbfKjl1wQ7
This week I also got to talk with @balajis. @NathanOnCrypto wanted to know: What was my biggest takeaway from the conversation we had? My answer: Privacy. Starknet will play an important role in bringing more of it to the world....
Crypto language: Scale, decentralization, account abstraction, trustlessness, permissionless Web2 language: Fast, cheap, secure, unlimited, free, easy, independent There's a big gap between the simplicity and intuitive value of Web2 and the complex technical jargon of crypto. The rare exception: Privacy. Privacy is privacy in crypto...

The best privacy solutions will come from crypto. Here's why: When you compare crypto to Web2, it’s pretty clear that most of Web2 is offering better privacy than most of crypto (not all of crypto, calm down). But this will change. Crypto...
