This is done by shifting power from centralized Big Brothers, and distributing it to individual people, me and you. The three amazing and novel principles that Bitcoin introduced to make this happen are: 1. Broadness: Everyone is invited to operate the network (can you imagine a bank offering this?) 2. Public Verifiability: Anyone may verify the integrity of the whole chain on commonly available means (will your bank let you do this?) 3. Incentivized Integrity: Operators (miners) are given rewards so they are incentivized to operate the system fairly and securely (does your bank offer you this?) ZK STARKs amplify the scale of Bitcoin and blockchain exponentially, allowing anyone to contribute more power to the network, with no trust assumptions. BUT REMEMBER THIS: The cryptography, the hardware, the code, the math -- they are means to an end, and the end is empowering individuals, ensuring their Freedom and sovereignty. YOU OWN YOUR LIFE.
