Poker is a great vehicle for learning the ups and downs of business. However, it's a tough game to completely rely on if you want to have outsized returns in life. It doesn't really have the compounding aspects of business. In business, if you survive long enough, you'll get lucky and hit it big at some point. Your team compounds, your relationships compound, your tech compounds; it keeps growing. In poker, your friends are also your competitors. I played a ton in my college years and am grateful for all the lessons because it made me a better founder. So learn poker, then learn business, then play poker with business friends. 😉
My 2025 year in review. It’s a heavy document so I thought I’d start including an executive summary to make it easier for readers. 2025 Executive Summary - **The Shift to Relational Wealth:** Losing my mother in May was the most significant...

Here's what it means to be 'AI fluent' at @zapier , according to @wadefoster. First, their staff didn't really know what that meant. They needed guardrails. The solution was simple: they just went to all the people in the org at the...
Quiet weeks are perfect for leveling up your AI skills. Some interesting use cases I've been toying with this week: - Using Granola notes to push to Gamma to make post call presentations you can send to your customers or prospects. -...
As AI makes execution easier, differentiation matters more. That’s why storytelling keeps showing up in leadership conversations. 👉 Tools create output whilst Stories create meaning. At its core, marketing is still about standing out. https://t.co/V2O2vSppuX
As a non-technical person, I set up Cursor + Claude Code + MCPs and query the business insights I need to make decisions faster. With all the recent Claude Code and Opus 4.5 uptick in the last 48 hours, I can’t...
My favorite AI tool this year isn’t about efficiency. It’s about objectivity. Having an impartial reference removes emotion from feedback and decision-making. 👉 You can revisit context, align faster, and move forward with more clarity. That kind of leverage is hard to replace.
“I don’t have time to learn AI. I’m too busy with work.” is the biggest BS excuse. ‘Work’ means being useful and the definition of useful is changing. The past might’ve been designing creative by hand, today it’s orchestrating workflows for 10x...
This GTM workflow will multiply your pipeline: Scan Slack for 🔥-reacted leads → lock them into a system of record (Google Sheets is fine) → research what changed recently (new CMO or funding round) → learn ICP patterns → generate lookalike...
As marketing gets flooded with AI, one counterintuitive tactic is becoming more valuable. In-person connection. I'm talking about events. Dinners for 10 people. Mini-events for 20-30. Even larger gatherings with your customers. Nothing is going to replace human connection. Even if you don't...
The best investment I made this year wasn’t in a channel or a tool. It was in people. As the team grows, the difference between good and great becomes leverage. Strong leadership compounds. 👉 That’s why the talent bar can’t be delegated entirely. You...
If you’re an operator- creator, here’s how much you should charge per post based on your revenue (not reach): <$1M: $3k $1M-$5M: $5-10k $5M-$10M: $10-25k $10M+: $25k+ Why? Because the opportunity cost of growing your business vs posting to social is too high.
My biggest marketing loss this year wasn’t one specific mistake. It was on the Karrot side of things. The product works, it still brings in leads and customers but it’s a very niche feature, and that matters more than I originally...

The video uses a strip‑club bouncer’s anecdote to illustrate how scarcity can be weaponized as a pricing lever. The bouncer, earning $300,000 a year, deliberately turns away a half‑empty club, inflates the entry fee, and forces patrons to view the...
Required reading for anyone who wants to level up their AI fluency. Most people in organizations are holding ‘the rearview mirror’ too sacred. It’s time to reimagine how we work and become managers of infinite minds. “My co-founder Simon was what we call...
We’re comfortable using LinkedIn ads to reach customers, but many teams hesitate to use them for hiring. After running a few job ads, it became clear that paid distribution works for talent too. You’re not going to hire your next executive...

I sat down with @zapier ($400M ARR) CEO @wadefoster yesterday and put him on the spot: how would you drive AI fluency in 90 days if you were dropped into a $50M ARR org? His answer? Hackathons. At Zapier, they stopped...

The video opens with a promise to diagnose why a company’s marketing is under‑performing in just seven minutes, using Amazon Photos’ homepage as a live case study. The presenter walks through the page, highlighting that despite Amazon’s massive scale, the...
Success doesn’t just give you momentum. It gives you distractions. In the beginning, focus is forced. Limited time, limited money, limited options, so you commit fully to what matters. As things start working, your attention starts to spread. More ideas. More opportunities. 👉 That’s...
If you know your numbers, you unlock marketing confidence. Calculate what you can pay for each lead, set your budget, and move fast, no analyst needed. It’s all about data-driven decisions. https://t.co/qik47wZyw6
Real AI ROI is here. Companies like UPS and Rocket Mortgage are slashing costs and boosting efficiency. But the true impact kicks in by 2027. Adapt, learn new skills, and get ready for the next wave. https://t.co/JXsOdAOIxi

The video introduces Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) as the next frontier of search visibility, framing it as a broader evolution of traditional SEO. AEO encompasses variations such as Large Language Model Optimization (LLMO), “Search Everywhere” optimization, and general AI‑SEO, all...
We banned PowerPoint from all our meetings. Productivity exploded. Elon runs Tesla meetings without slides. Bezos makes Amazon execs write 6-page memos instead. U.S. generals stopped using PowerPoint in combat zones because it slowed ground operations. They all figured out the same...
