Context Trumps Model; Activate Users to Counter AI‑Driven Delays
SaasRise CEO Mastermind Recaps for the Week of June 16 - June 18, 2026 This week's SaasRise mastermind sessions covered outbound strategy, AI agents, content and paid acquisition, growth and activation, churn, product focus, operational automation, hiring, fundraising and AI security. You can read the full recap here: https://lnkd.in/ghXRBGyS Here are the 5 conversations that hit hardest: 1. AI agents are only as good as the context you give them: Everyone's chasing the best model. Wrong focus. The founders seeing real results are training agents on their own business data, workflows and company specific knowledge...not switching models or tweaking prompts. Context beats model selection every time. 2. AI assisted buyers are taking longer to decide, not less: The assumption was that AI would speed up buying cycles. It's doing the opposite. Buyers are now evaluating more alternatives and stretching out their decisions. The fix isn't chasing churn. It's activation. Get users into your API and core functionality faster. Win during the longer evaluation window instead of fighting it. 3. Outbound still works...if you stop expecting it to be fast: One founder is chasing $100K+ enterprise deals in energy, financial services and insurance. The advice: build a case study per vertical and run true multi channel ABM: → Email → LinkedIn → Calling → Ringless voicemail → Direct mail Measure ROI over 12 to 18 months. Not the next quarter. 4. Stop being spread across too many features: One company's revenue is unpredictable because they're trying to serve too many use cases at once. The fix: find the stickiest, most recurring use case in your product. Focus only on that. Expand around it later. Niching down isn't a limitation. It's what creates the predictability you need to actually optimize anything. 5. Your churn number might be better than you think: One company inherited a business with 50% annual churn. Eighteen months later, it's down to 40%. Revenue grew from $300K to $900K but growth has stalled. Here's the reframe: → 40% annual churn is actually competitive for AI BDR tools. → At $500/month with that churn rate, average customer LTV is roughly $15,000. The real move: → Align your ICP to customers who already know how to work leads, push annual contracts paid upfront and move upmarket. → Higher paying customers churn less. Today, I run these 2 private mastermind communities that might help you: → SaasRise: for founders scaling from $1M to $100M → GrowthRise: for B2B Sales and Marketing leaders (Links in comments below)
