
Construction Begins on Liquefied Biogas Facility at Port of Gothenburg
Construction has begun on a 50‑tonne‑per‑day liquefied biogas (LBG) plant at Sweden’s Port of Gothenburg, owned by Nordion Energi. The facility is slated for completion in early 2027 and aims to be operational by the end of that year. By converting gaseous biogas into a liquid form, the plant will allow renewable fuel to reach shipping, heavy transport and industry beyond existing pipelines. St1 Biokraft has already booked part of the capacity, giving the project early commercial certainty.
