Canadian genre specialist Kier‑La Janisse has turned her Spectacular Optical imprint into a full‑service theatrical, streaming and home‑video distribution label. The venture launches this month with Severin Films handling U.S. home‑video releases, starting with Christopher Morris’s 2023 documentary A Year in a Field. Spectacular Optical will also co‑release a 4K restoration of Waris Hussein’s Melody and restore cult titles such as Pure Shit, Doomed Love and Arcadia.
