IEM Cologne Major to Use No BO1s in Stage 3

ESL announced that Stage 3 of the IEM Cologne Major will feature only best‑of‑three (BO3) matches, removing best‑of‑one (BO1) games entirely. To accommodate the longer format, the stage has been extended by one day, running from June 11‑15, with extra tickets made available. The move follows criticism of BO1s in previous majors and mirrors the BO5 final introduced at the StarLadder Budapest Major. Organizers expect the change to bring the Cologne Major in line with the rest of the CS:GO circuit.
