Pulse Analysis

India’s technology services sector is gaining momentum as Tata Consultancy Services joins forces with Redzone, a supply‑chain specialist, to deliver AI‑centric manufacturing solutions. The partnership promises to bypass costly ERP overhauls, offering mid‑market producers a scalable, low‑disruption path to digital maturity. This move reflects a broader industry shift toward embedded intelligence, where AI not only optimises production lines but also drives predictive maintenance and real‑time decision making, positioning India as a hub for next‑generation manufacturing.

Defence and maritime capabilities are also receiving a boost. Shree Refrigerations secured over ₹40 crore in Navy retro‑fit orders, while GRSE and Hindustan Shipyard’s consortium aims to build advanced maritime platforms, reinforcing self‑reliance in shipbuilding. Simultaneously, Axiscades’ Mistral Solutions landed an ₹80 crore order for the LCA Mk 1A programme, highlighting the growing domestic demand for high‑performance embedded systems. These contracts enhance revenue visibility for the firms and contribute to India’s strategic push for indigenous defence production.

Renewable energy and AI infrastructure are emerging as growth engines. Ceigall’s ₹1,700 crore award for a 220 MW solar‑plus‑BESS plant in Madhya Pradesh underscores the country’s aggressive clean‑energy rollout, while Submer’s collaboration with Anant Raj to deploy AI‑ready data centres leverages liquid‑cooling technology to meet sovereign computing needs. Coupled with Marico’s expansion into Vietnam’s skincare market and Godrej Agrovet’s launch of the TAKAI insecticide, the breadth of activity illustrates a diversified expansion strategy across sectors, reinforcing India’s position as a dynamic, multi‑industry investment destination.

Redzone, a company in manufacturing and supply chains, has announced a strategic partnership with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). Together, they will help mid‑market manufacturers modernise operations faster, scale execution with confidence, and unlock the full value of AI without the excessive cost, disruption, time and staffing associated with traditional ERP programs.

City Union Bank has said that the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) approved the appointment of R Vijay Anandh, currently the Executive Director at the private bank, as the next Managing Director & CEO. Anandh holds over 28 years of experience in banking, risk management, portfolio analysis, credit appraisals, and other retail‑banking segments. Prior to his appointment at City Union Bank, he served as the Business and Collections Head for Retail Asset products at RBL Bank, working closely with the ED & the MD there.

Marico South East Asia Corporation (MSEA), a wholly‑owned subsidiary of Marico Ltd, announced that its subsidiary has entered into an agreement to acquire a majority stake in a Vietnam‑based skin‑care company, Skinetiq. Under the agreement, MSEA will acquire a 75 % stake in Skinetiq for about ₹261.6 crore (≈ 750 billion Vietnamese Dong) in two tranches.

Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers (GRSE) Ltd and Hindustan Shipyard Limited (HSL) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to form a consortium aimed at undertaking a large‑scale, strategically significant national shipbuilding programme. The partnership envisages the construction of advanced maritime platforms and is expected to enhance the country’s maritime infrastructure, technological self‑reliance, and long‑term operational capabilities.

Shree Refrigerations Limited (SRL) has secured multiple fresh orders worth more than Rs 40 crore in the last two months from the Indian Navy, reinforcing its strong position in the defence segment. These orders predominantly pertain to retrofitting/upgrading existing equipment with newer, higher‑performance units and replenishing spare parts for earlier‑installed equipment. With the addition of these orders, SRL’s total closing order book is now more than ₹320 crore (excluding GST), providing strong medium‑term revenue visibility and supporting sustained business growth.

The board of UVS Hospitality and Services Ltd, formerly known as Thirdwave Financial Intermediaries Ltd, will meet on February 14 to consider a comprehensive capital‑raising plan and the strategic acquisition of Calcio Restaurants Private Ltd. Following the execution of a term sheet in late 2025, the board will now formally deliberate on the acquisition. The transaction is proposed via a share‑swap arrangement, where equity shares of UVS Hospitality will be issued to Calcio’s shareholders.

Ceigall India has secured a significant Letter of Award (LoA) worth approximately ₹1,700 crore from Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Ltd. The project involves developing a 220 MW solar power plant integrated with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) at Morena Solar Park in Madhya Pradesh. This award enhances the company’s future revenue visibility and solidifies its presence in the renewable‑energy infrastructure sector, with a tariff of ₹2.70/kWh.

Godrej Agrovet Ltd has launched a new insecticide, TAKAI, developed for rice crops. Powered by Cyclapryn technology developed by ISK Japan, TAKAI is effective against key rice pests, Stem Borer, and controls Leaf Folder. When applied at 160 ml at 15‑30 days after transplant (DAT) and again at 40‑60 DAT, it provides a broad protection window for the rice crop. The company is in the process of obtaining label approval for TAKAI in maize, chilli, cabbage, soybean, chickpea, and sugarcane crops as well.

Axiscades Technologies, a chip‑to‑product company and pioneer in aerospace, defence, electronics, semiconductor, and artificial‑intelligence (ESAI) sectors, headquartered in Bangalore, announced a new win for its subsidiary Mistral Solutions in the defence division. Mistral Solutions, a leader in high‑performance embedded systems and defence electronics, today announced the receipt of an order valued at approximately ₹80 crore under the prestigious LCA Mk 1A programme of Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL).

Submer, the full‑stack AI infrastructure provider, has announced a strategic collaboration with Anant Raj Cloud, a subsidiary of Anant Raj Limited, to develop fully operational AI‑ready data centres across India. The collaboration enables rapid deployment of high‑density, energy‑efficient computing platforms designed to support sovereign and enterprise AI workloads at scale. This partnership serves as a primary example of the EU‑India Trade Deal in action, bringing world‑class liquid‑cooling technology from Spain and combining it with India’s robust infrastructure and operational support. Crucially, the collaboration strengthens a single, accountable source for AI data‑centre design, build, and scalable operation. Combined with Submer’s neocloud and inference platform, InferX, the partnership enables customers to access AI‑ready infrastructure and compute through a unified, end‑to‑end model aligned with India’s sovereignty requirements.
